(Nashville, Tenn.) October 3, 2003 - Word Label Group announces the addition of Desmond Pringle as Director of Gospel A&R.

Pringle signs two new exciting urban groups, "Generation J" and "Fortitude" to Word Entertainment in exclusive recording contracts. Both projects due out later this year.
As the head of Urban / Gospel A&R for Word Entertainment Pringle has been inundated with a plethora of aspiring artists, producers, writers, and industry professionals who are ill-informed and unprepared when coming to the table. "The primary difference between the person who gets the deal and who doesn't is most often not an issue of talent but an issue of preparedness", says Pringle. Artist development is a crucial necessity that mutually benefits artists as well as labels. The better prepared an artist is when they get their "15 minutes" to make that initial impression the better we can calculate the investment needed to take them to the next level.

Pringle's most commonly asked question this year was, "How can I get a deal?" The next most commonly asked question was are you still singing? Well in addition to live performances here are some of the things Pringle lent his talent to.
In the February Pringle was called to the president's office, Barry Landis and asked to participate as a background vocalist on NBC Today's "Today's Super Star" winner, Kristy Starling.
In July of this year the hot single with Pringle on the lead, "High Praise", on Bishop Paul Morton's "Let It Rain" project debuted at #1 on the Billboard gospel charts.
Then on September 23 the Grammy Nominated "Shirley Caesar and Friends" CD was released with Desmond serving as Executive Producer and Duet partner. Other guest artists include Oleta Adams, Kim Burrell, Kirk Franklin, Gladys Knight, Patti LaBelle, and Dottie Peoples.
In October Pringle rides the airwaves again on another Grammy Nominated project "CeCe Winans Presents The Born Again Church Choir". This time singing the hit radio single "Holiness Is Right" of which he's also the writer.
By the end of January Pringle closes deal with the 2003 two time Stellar Award winning duo "Ted & Sheri".
In December Integrity Gospel released a Praise and Worship compilation "Art Of Praise". Pringle sings the opening track of the project, "You Are Good", an Israel Houghton composition.
